Laboratory Tests
Pulse Health Screening offers a wide range of health screening tests, some of which may be performed in your own home.
We have carefully chosen the laboratories who perform the tests to ensure that they are reputable. All are used by hospitals and clinics in the UK and around the world.
Tests are only available to those living in the UK.

Blood Tests
Tests which require a venous blood sample can be taken at your surgery, private hospital or clinic, by a local health practitioner, at one of the venues in London or by a mobile phlebotomist (see below). You will be required to pay an extra fee for phlebotomy/venepuncture (taking of blood).

Phlebotomy Service Venues in London
The Doctors Laboratory (only available for tests analysed through this lab)
Location: 76 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 8YL; Tel: 02073077383
Hours: Mon - Fri 07.00 - 19.00; Saturday 09.00 - 17.00. No appointment is necessary.
Fee: £45 to be paid at the lab if you have not paid in advance. When you order your test on this site, you will be given an opportunity to pay the discounted practitioner fee of £25.00 in advance, saving you £20.00.
No test kit will be sent to you but you will be sent an email about visiting The Doctor’s Laboratory after your payment has been received.

Fee: From £65 paid to Blood Collection Mobile. You will be sent a blood test kit for the phlebotomist and will be responsible for sending it to the laboratory which will perform the analysis. Please ensure your sample is sent between a Monday and Thursday by the last post of the same day from a Priority Post Box.
Phlebotomy Services Outside London
Genova Diagnostics (available for tests analysed through this lab but they may also offer this service for other labs)
Genova’s website gives a list of places around the UK who can arrange to take blood for their tests. You are required to take your blood sample kit with you. Prices will vary for each clinic/practitioner. Please ensure your sample is sent between a Monday and Thursday by the last post of the same day from a Priority Post Box.
Phlebotomy Services (mobile service available in the South of England)

You will be sent a blood test kit to give to the phlebotomist and will be responsible for sending it to the laboratory which will perform the analysis. Please ensure your sample is sent between a Monday and Thursday by the last post of the same day from a Priority Post Box.

Samples Collected at Home
Full instructions for home tests are contained in the kits. Once your sample has been obtained, it should be posted or sent by courier to the relevant laboratory for analysis in the envelope provided, immediately, unless you are instructed to freeze your sample(s). Most samples should not be taken on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays. Depending on the test, your results should be sent to you within three weeks.

N.B. The prices stated cover the cost of the test(s) and results, only. As a health screening company, we are unable to give advice on medical treatment, therefore, if you have an abnormal result, you will be advised to discuss your results with a doctor or other health care professional. However, we will provide diet and lifestyle suggestions, if appropriate, or recommend further sources of information.
